Ice Cream Nails

I love how the colors go so well on this particular set. There's so many possibilities and different roads you can take this mani. You can add different flavors of ice cream, different background colors, sprinkles, or even cute characters. [This post contains a video]
Before going into the video tutorial, here are the supplies I used.

For the ombre base:

For the cone:

I mixed the "Mulberry Street" and "Orange Crush" to get the base color for the cone. For the diagonal stripes I used H&M's "Chocolate Fudge".

For the scoops:
  • N.Y.C "Hamptons Peach" (For the strawberry)
  • SinfulColors "Beaches and Cream" (For the vanilla)
  • SinfulColors "Nirvana" (For the chocolate)
  • A toothpick with the pointy end cut off to use the thickest part
You can use your favorite topcoat to seal the design. Make sure you wait for each coat to completely dry in between steps. Especially before you apply the topcoat. If you put thick dots for the ice cream then it will take longer for them to dry completely through. If you put on the top coat too early it will cause the polishes to drag down and your hard work will be ruined!
Happy painting!
