Pumpkin Patch
These are the polishes and tools I used:
I started with the glitter accent nail first. I went with "Coffee" as my base coat. When it was completely dry I added one coat of "Big City Dazzle" followed by a coat of "All About You". [See below]
For the pumpkin nail I started with a solid white base. When it's completely dry, add nail tape to mark off the striping. When you get the tape positioned exactly how you want it, add the top stripe color. I chose to stay with "Coffee" by Sinful Colors. You want to take off your tape pretty quickly or else the polishes will run and pull one another. If you get lots of pulling and your lines look real splotchy, you can touch them up carefully by using a thin brush or a toothpick.
To paint the pumpkin I used acrylic paints. You can also use nail polish but just remember to work quickly because it sometimes gets tacky and sticky if you try to go into too much detail with it. I first outlined the pumpkin in a darker color then went over it with the orange paint because it wasn't opaque and the lines were showing through it. After you have your pumpkin silhouette, color it in with the orange. Use a brown to make a little stem. I used the same base color as my silhouette to draw a few lines on the pumpkin to give it more shape. Then use a green to draw your vines.
